Thomas is 10 now. He's a very large 10 kilo tabby. We love him like hes one of the children and I think Thomas is quite confused.
My son was doing his paper run one evening in Ohauiti and he brought a tiny little kitten home saying he found it in the gutter. In later years I found the truth to be quite different. Brodie was doing his paper run and a kid was giving away kittens so he thought it would be a great idea to bring it home.
I didnt want a kitten but found it hard to say no. We think Thomas was about 4 weeks old. He was so tiny he fit in the palm of my hand. He went everywhere I went. To work, in the car, slept in bed beside me and basically was hand reared.
The Vet told us he sucks your clothes because he was taken from his Mum too soon. I think it's kinda cute though.
He also opens windows to get in and out and doors. When we have a shower he pushes the door open and sits on the vanity, he has his own glass of water there.
He is fantastic with kids. And when doing the housework we vacuum him to get any loose hair. You can do almost anything to Thomas, in fact the kids wear him around their neck as a scarf and he just lays there.
I think he's so placid because he's never been mistreated or hurt and has been babied.
When I am in the salon he can't stand the door shut so he uses his weight and jumps up to knock the door handle down and let himself in.
Let us know if your allergic to cats or don't like them and I will make sure he is locked in a room for the duration of the treatment!

Thomas was asleep in bed behind me, under the covers with his head on my pillow. We heard a loud thump about 3am and I looked over the edge of the bed to see Thomas laying on the floor holding onto the bed with one foot
looking at me like I pushed him out. I lifted him back into bed and he went to sleep.
8th June 2010
Thomas went for a check up at the Vet. He weighed in at a wopping 9.9 kilos. She asked me if I realised he was so "chunky". Can hardly miss it.
26th July 2010
Thomas fell out of bed again. It was so loud he auctually woke us.
